HAHA - good question..Mexicans have been partying on the sun for centuries..Cubans not so much..LOL..We're all Americans at the end of the day - or forget it there's nothing, Mingus said that..Americans got the moon anyway..:-)..yeah I'm the boy on the sun at least in the mental movies..but that's the fun part of writing..ya cast yourself in cool scenes..

Did you really write all these songs on the fly like that or were some of them stored up from before?

autobiographical - as much as any other things I've done..every thing I do always has alot of what's going on around it - just filtered through a slightly smoky lens maybe..

no man - I would come home from work - fire up the studio and start brainstorming..that was one of the rules..I couldn't even think about what I was gonna do until I was in there doing it..though I have to confess I did do some thinking about it over the course of the days..but the writing and recording were simultaneous.

That sounds furious. Were you affected by all the people who got into it once you started posted the songs?

Absolutely that was one of the big reasons for posting the tunes..I wanted the pressure..I wanted to feel committed..it was a great feeling running down the stairs every night with a new tune..it was that stop the presses kind of feeling.

This might be the start of a a good way to get stuff out to people ya know..kind of like broadcasting out there into the grid..when I was a little kid I use to do these little mock radio shows with a cassette recorder..just record myself as if I was broadcasting out to people..I spent hours doing that..this kind of felt like that but people actually heard it..lol

"This House" currently playing... Great "Season of the Witch" kinda groove to it. Can you talk some about the people who played with you on some of these?

O yeah - my roomates - Scott Parry and Kennon Knight played on it..Scott's a great blues piano man - he laid down the organ on "Blow My House Down"..Kennon's a great percussionist and all around Reiki Zen master and viber - he grooved out Vibraslap (that tunes named after that instrument, he brought that to the mix)..my comrades in the Revolvers, Zoe Vette and Daniel Jackson played on Catholic Blues and Blow My House Down, respectively..Zoe contributed the Bodhran (Irish Drum) - Dan gave us the drums..great 60's vibe there.

Is this album going to stay free or do you see yourself offering a mastered version for sale at a later time?

It'll be free for a good while..I'm actually gonna do the same thing with the previous album, which never really got a proper release - "Ordinary Time"..I recorded that about 2 years ago..I'm actually gonna get the older albums mastered properly and put those out this year..
