Oh and it's gonna be w/ the Gallery Imprint of Simon and Schuster! Am really happy a larger company has some vision! Jonathan was too busy with his show to be my agent so his agent read it and liked it and agreed to represent it.

W/ the Nikita stuff, there are certain articles I always write like "OMG Moments", "WTF Moments", "Best & Worst Fashion" and so on. Have started to write a lot of "Who will hook up?" pieces.

Let's talk Art Stardom.
Is it over? If so, how did it die?
Do you feel art stardom gets the respect it deserves?
Do you expect it to?
(The board welcomes "butthead"... I don't know who that is but this should be interesting...)

It was fun for me to watch the Anti-Slam in Turkey over Bowery Poetry Club's webcast. I checked around this summer and many perf. spaces are starting to do this. Do you think there is potential for a Web viewership for the Anti-Slam?

Art Stardom or "The Art Star Scene" isn't dead, but we've all gotten older and are working on more ambitious projects or at least that seems to be the case in many instances. A lot of art stars have now been published, which is yay! Great! In terms of "getting respect", I kind of hate when terms like that are used with regard to art. The greatest artists were "amateurs" like Van Gogh! I've had more than one douchebag suggest I grow up a little and try to be "more legitimate." I once had a certain douche filmmaker say that if I stopped working w/ him I would no longer be valid. I laughed because "valid" would seem to indicate "boring." I hope I'm never "valid", "legitimate", or "respected." I'm an artist. That's all. I don't take myself seriously and I don't expect anyone else to.

Sure. I think if people are trapped somewhere boring and they tune into a web cast Anti-Slam, it might inspire them. Though the web hardly captures the real-life crazy energy.

Do you get mad at Wikipedia for deleting Faceboy's "Artstar" articles?

Also...the web is great, but live shows will always be at the core of the Art Star Scene!

I don't get mad at Wikipedia per se, but you know, Faceboy is a really underrated great comedic actor so I am pissed off at whoever is f**king with his page. Jealous Haters. They suck you know? Just because they haven't done anything, they have to go mess with someone who has.

Jealous Haters are just a terrible side effect of being fabulous.

I unfortunately can't make the antislam tonight, but wish I could go. (show tomorrow.)
Can you describe what happens or what should happen at a typical antislam?

And, far as I know Wikipedia is something any lousy shit with a general knowledge of computers can mess with.

Yeah, the only way to be at the Anti-Slam is to be there in person. What impressed me was that I could perform anything I wanted. I'd always believed you had to "do" something, like suckass poetry or standup or plays. What I love about the Anti-Slam is the random element. But deleting Faceboy's Artstar articles? Son't like to hear that. No way do I see Art Stardom as over or anywhere near it.
