They are a band... a nerdy little synth-driven number with two keytars, sax, and spencer on guitar. Sometimes w/ myself on the horn, if no one's insisting on rehearals.
We play packed, crazy parties in a remote queens location where you have to walk ~ 15 min. or so from the nearest train stop (and the trip to said train stop is usually pretty troublesome, especially if you're coming from jersey.)

Sorry. I missed the middle part of the thread, which makes it clear that you are in fact a band. I am totally losing it.

Question: Losing it.
Is that good or bad?

Question: Losing it. Is that good or bad? Losing it can be good or bad. Webster's dictionary define it like this Losing It -noun; 1. Having an amazing time (most commonly drug induced) to the extent that you lose your mind and grip of reality "I was totally tropically losing it". 2. Losing you cool, or having a bad time and feeling unable to cope "I'm really starting to lose it"

Question: Who are the Missing Teans? Are they a band? They are New York's premiere Core-core band. They were formed when the crystals got too drunk one night at a local bar and decided to shoot the jukebox into outer space. Mukor intercepted the jukebox there, and returned the Missing Teens to earth, to perform his unholy rites. The Missing Teens consist of many, many members, not all of whom have shared the stage at the same time. Sort of like the Justice League, sometimes Hawkman is a member, sometimes he's not. The founding members were yours truly and Darren Jones. I paid Darren $100 and a bottle of scotch to record some live drums over various sequences. He managed to play 32 songs he had never heard before, before getting too fatigued. This was all up at the City College of NY Sonic Arts Program - "where genius goes to sizzle". I think, actually, I may have already been playing ArtLand with Spencer Chakedis of Deep Sound Diver, with him on guitar, and an iPod of backing tracks, while I sang and screamed. Or maybe Spencer joined after Darren and I started playing together...? Alcoholism slowly destroys the ability of your brain to process memories correctly, and that's what's happened here. In any event, for the longest time, the Missing Teens was Darren, Spencer, and myself, with the iPod, playing places like the Trash Bar, the Underground, the Delancey, etc... eventually we were joined by professor emeritus of lite rock studies Dave Tirolo on bass. We were also joined by Greg "Orange Magic" Travis for a good long time, on guitar. This went on for years... this was largely a nuturing of the third crystal. The fourth crystal was vibrating and eventually burst, leading to a small coup in which it was demanded that no more iPod be employed. Around this time, we were managed ably by Mr. Shawn Parow, of the eatdrinksnack.com blog. This turned out to be a very healthy coup, like the Kemalist seizure of power in Turkey post-WWI. Yes, some atrocities were committed, but it made the band stronger and better-sounding in the long run. We were joined by Chris Boylan on guitar, and since then, our membership has blossomed like a thousand cherry blossoms. Official Missing Teens are now Darren, James, Dave, Spencer, Chris, Orange Magic; James Pertusi also on bass, Dan Gottesman also on drums, Dave Schnug on sax, Greg "DJ Pu Yi" Travis of German Cars vs. American Homes on keyboard; Lewis Rapkin and Dave "Boxcar" Smith on bass; and Brer Brian on trumpet. We've also been joined by Noah Penn of Illimanjaro, one of our sister bands in this strange and cruel journey of rock. And let's not forget the lovely Adrienne "Triangle Lass" Baranowicz/Efficiency and Renee Cole, our backup singers/eye candy/performance artists. The lineup for The Power of the Crystals is myself, DJ Pu Yi, Dan, Dave Schnug, Dave Tirolo, and Spencer: Missing Teens v3.13. But the Missing Teens' lineup is pretty flexible; it depends on who's available for what gig. Someday, everyone will be gathered on one stage, Mukor willing. That is probably way more biographical information that you were hoping for, but I've never actually written that all down, so let posterity know the record.

Losing you cool, or having a bad time and feeling unable to cope "I'm really starting to lose it" Losing it is almost always a necessary prerequisite for the proper alignment of the crystals. The central issue is the question of timing. It is not good to lose it when preparing for a major rock concert, or asking a girl out on a date. It is proper to lose it in the middle of job interviews, when walking down the street, in the Guitar Center, etc. It's all about reacting and making you're not setting the agenda yourself.
